Plum, Deconstructed

Note from Sundara... I few days ago I was going through some files and stumbled across a document of old sales numbers of original colors I had created. This sent me down a rabbit hole of nostalgia that led to a tiny bit of surprise when I realized that the color that had sold the most of was what I'd named "Plum." It was, admittedly, a gorgeous color, but if I'd had to pick which color had been your all's favorite, it would not have been plum.

But the plum discovery sent me down another rabbit's hole of plum photos which led to the dyeing up of this color: Plum, Deconstructed. Because if you all loved plum so much, deconstructed plum would be even better, right? Or at least I thought so and thought so even more when I pulled this color out of the dye pots. It's kind of the perfect almost red but sort of purple and sort of blue. It's pretty much those plums, which you'd never think you'd be able to capture that gorgeous bloom in yarn, but somehow the yarn and dye came together and managed to. It all seemed like a little bit of magic, honestly.
