Lace Silky Alpaca

Note from Sundara... So I had lovely inspiration photos picked out and I had all these new dye colors I'd just gotten and I had one of my favorite yarn bases. I was ready to go. And you know what happened? None of the dyes worked like I thought they would on this yarn because I forgot it wasn't merino. But the colors were still really pretty, so I kept them and threw out the inspiration photos. Although I'm guessing for some of you, you might not actually want to wear these colors. I would, but I actually had another idea for you.

What I immediately thought of was how adorable these colors would be knit or crocheted up into some little stuffie for a young child or baby. You could use it alone or hold it together with something sturdier. It would be so fluffy and fun and soft. I would have loved something like that as a child. And lest you think using a silky alpaca yarn for a child is kind of ridiculous, I STILL have the panda bear my mother crocheted for me while she was pregnant. All of 53 years ago. I keep it lovingly in a dark closet so the fiber won't break down and every few months I take it out and hug it when no one is around to mock me. These things are precious and using a quality yarn will only make them more precious.
