Note from Sundara... A couple weeks ago, back when the weather was still chilly, I thought "Hey, you know what might be fun? Getting some yarn that is feltable because felting is fun." When it arrived, I'd forgotten all about that plan, the weather had warmed up, and I couldn't figure out what I was thinking, ordering sweater weight yarn when summer is just around the corner.

But felting is fun!

And when I told my knitting friend, she mentioned "The Knitter's Dude Sweater" which is awesome and I can't believe I haven't seen it until now. It's by Andrea Rangel, looks super cozy and definitely would work better with non-superwash merino. And yes, it is color work, and yes, summer is just around the corner, but make it the summer of sweaters! This sweater is worth it. (It's not for dudes).

I had no idea how non-superwash wool would take color and I was thinking "color work" and "felting" and also "don't felt it yourself," so I kept these colors more on the solid side. I also dyed the colors to go together, although do not feel compelled to put them together if you do not want to. Because of those constraints, I decided to just dye them how I felt, without inspiration.

I also let my niece name them. Because she's cute.

"Mallard," "Blue Sky," and "Wheaty" will not be dyed again. One batch of each color available.
