Note from Sundara... Why you should love sport merino:

1) It's versatile. You can use it for patterns that call for sport weight, but it also works pretty well for fingering weight and DK weight patterns. I especially like it for fingering weight shawls because if you knit it up like the pattern says, just on bigger needles (like if the pattern calls for size 5 needles and fingering weight yarn, use this yarn and size 6 or 7 needles), you'll get a giant squishy shawl with the same amount of effort. Or, you could even just use the same size 5 needles and the shawl will still be bigger because of the yarn, but it'll be less loose and airy and more warm and cozy.

2) It's a 4 season weight. You can knit a sweater (particularly short sleeves and tanks) and wear them in the summer and warmer parts of spring and autumn on its own and then layer it with a cardigan or jacket in winter and colder days of spring and autumn.

3) It's soft and squishy. It's more squishy than fingering weight and somehow more squishy than the heavier weight yarns. It's one of the squishiest yarns I carry. I don't know why and I'm sure "squishy" isn't top of the list in what you look for in a yarn, but it is an underrated quality that really makes both the knitting and final project all the better.

If that hasn't convinced you, it is super wash and 100% merino, but still soft with a little sheen. If you haven't tried it, maybe get a skein and knit a hat or cowl and see why I love it so much.

"Olivine" won't be dyed again. One batch available.
