The Wild Lotus

Note from Sundara...I decided to do something I never, ever do, and things got a little crazy, so take today's inspiration with a giant grain of salt. I thought it would be interesting to dye two different yarn bases in the same pot. This wouldn't be all that interesting if the two yarns were the same fibers, but these are radically different and take the dye radically differently. As you can see.

We ended up with a super pretty medley of pink 100% fingering silky. It's shiny and gorgeous and so, so pretty. The pink fingering silky merino cashmere is darker––because of the merino––and a little more subdued. It's soft and delicious because it's got the cashmere, but it's still got all the pretty pinks, they just veer into reds.

The green is where things get pretty interesting. That green fingering silky merino cashmere is an absolute delight. Green at its finest. And softest. But the silk. Look how fun that is! So much color going on. It's pretty spectacular.

"The Wild Lotus" will not be dyed again. 1/2 a batch of each color available.
