Aurora

Note from Sundara... I'm still on a whole Daily Dreams "palette cleansing" kick, which apparently included this "gradient" set. I'm not sure if it's technically a gradient, but I had a vision. I wanted a "gradient" of color (teal, deep aqua, and blue) washed with a darker color (I landed on aubergine). And then I wanted a highlight color. Which is exactly what we got and I simply adore how it turned out. It's gorgeous. Even more so in person.

I actually had a vision for how this could be knit up, although please do whatever the yarn moves you. But I saw some sort of shawl where you knit a gradient of the colors with some sort of highlight row or stitch in that lighter color. Melanie Berg probably has a bunch of patterns that would work. I did a quick search and "Colorshift" looked interesting even though it only calls for 3 colors, it could be made to work. "Tamdou" is another one. Stephen West probably has 80 bazillion patterns. For his, you could use the light as the "main color" and gradiate the teal-aqua-blue. I'm not sure gradiate is a word, but let's go with it.

Whatever you chose, there are probably lots of possibilities.
